Michael Bochnovic is the Chief of Staff at Independent Sector. In this role, Michael provides operational and strategic support to the president and CEO, board of directors, and senior leadership members. Previously, Michael held various roles with the Center for Community Progress, most recently as Senior Program Officer with the policy and research team advancing regulatory reform to support equitable community development. He also served as the Executive Fellow at Urban Strategies, Inc., Program and Research Assistant at the Center for the Study of Social Policy, and holds a rich background in policy and advocacy, nonprofit management, place-based technical assistance, and organizational development. Michael is a Chicago native, earned his master’s degree in urban and environmental planning from Arizona State University, and currently serves on the Board of Governors for Seabury Resources for Aging.
