Manuel Gomez is Manager of Data, Engagement, and Advocacy at Independent Sector, where he works to implement data and technology to improve Independent Sector’s advocacy programs as well as develop relations with members, allies, and stakeholders.
Manuel served as Senior Policy Advisor in the Colombian Senate, Chief of Staff for the President of the Colombian Congress, and was the Vice Consul of Colombia in Madrid. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of California – San Diego (UCSD). He also worked as the Economic Development and Advocacy Specialist at the North San Diego Business Chamber.
Manuel has a Bachelor’s in Public Administration, a Master’s in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona, and a Master’s in Economic Analysis from the Complutense University. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate in Technology at Purdue University.
