MARTHA (RICH) & DENNIS JOHNSON.
Martha was born May 1864 and Dennis
Johnson was born Sep 1862. To this
union 14 kids were born. The 1900
and 1910 census shows that Hubbard,
Cleveland, Susie, Randolf, Herman,
William, Norris, Mary Francis and
Maggie were living in Washington
Westmoreland, Va. Dennis earned his
income by being a fisherman. Martha
kept the household together.

KATE (JACKSON) & SAMUEL BRYANT.
Samuel and Kate Bryant to the union
two daughters were born, Mamie and
Marie Bryant.

NORRIS JOHNSON.
Norris Johnson was born September
28, 1904. Norris married Mamie
(Bryant) Johnson in the early
1900s. To the union two sons and
three daughters was born. William,
Abbie, Addie Mae, Jeannette and
Theodore. Norris died July 1956.

WILLIAM JOHNSON.
William Johnson died on Friday
August 9, 1963. He leaves his wife
Gloria: mother Mamie Johnson, three
sisters and one brother. His
funeral was held at W. H. Bacon
Funeral Home 1722 7th
street N.W. Washington D.C. The
service was held at Second Union
Baptist Church Thursday August 15th.

ANNIE LAURA BROWN.
Annie L. Brown died at 52 years old
Tuesday [?] 11, 1972 at Mary
Washington Hospital after a long
illness. The funeral service was
held at Saturday at First Baptist
Church of Colonial Beach, Va. The
Rev. George Bumbry will be
officiating. The burial site was in
Sharp Hill Cemetery, Maple Grove.

GEORGE LEE BROWN Jr. George
Lee Brown Jr. 17 son of George and
Annie Brown of Colonial Beach, Va.
died instantly Sunday night, when
his car struck the bottom of the
monument at Washington’s Birth
Place.

MORRIS HODGE. Morris
Hodge of Colonial Beach, Va. died
Monday January 25, 1984 at 50 years
old at Mary Washington Hospital.
Lee’s funeral home in King George
will run the funeral at Greater
Little Ark Baptist Church cemetery
at Owens. Mr. Hodge was a disabled
construction worker. He has three
sons, Morris, Aloysius and Floyd.
Five daughters Evelena Coleman, Mrs.
Elouise McDowney, Linda & Darlean
Pierce of Colonial Beach,
Va., Teresa Parker of King George
Va., three brothers Lawrence Hodge
of King George, James Hodge Jr. of
Groton Conn., Willis Hodge of New
London Conn.

WALTER WILLIAM PIERCE.
Water W. Pierce was born November
1924 in Colonial Beach, Virginia to
the late Beanie Pierce. William
married Rose Jeannette (Johnson)
Pierce January 16, 1970.
William proudly served in WWII, and
a member of the deacon board of the
First Baptist Church. William died
November 6, 1986.

PIERCE.
Cliffton
Pierce was born January 13, 1916 in
Colonial Beach, Virginia to the Late
Beanie Pierce. He is the brother of
Marry Choates, Annie Brown, and
Walter William Pierce. Cliffton
died January 15, 1988.

GEORGE PHILLIP TURNER Jr.
George P. Tuner Jr. was born March
25, 1914 in King George, County
Virginia to the late Margaret and
George Turner. He was married to
Addie Mae (Bryant) Tuner in
1956. George died August 9, 1997.

GEORGE BROWN Jr. George
Brown Jr. was born March 1, 1918 in
Westmoreland County, Virginia to
George, Sr. and Lena Brown. He
married Annie Laura Brown.
To this union, three children were
born Dorthy Mae, Annie Laurie
“Evelyn” and George Lee. George
proudly served in WWII and served as
the chairman of the Board of Deacons
for many years. George died October
18, 1997.

THEODORE (BUTCH) JOHNSON.
Theodore Johnson was born August 30,
1939 to Mamie and Norris Johnson.
He was born in Monroe Hall,
Westmoreland, Virginia. Theodore
leaves his three sisters Abbie
Jones, Addie Mae Tuner and Rose
Jeannette Pierce, and one brother
who died before him William Johnson.

MAMIE (BRYANT) JOHNSON.
Mamie B. Johnson was born February
11, 1902 to the late Samuel Bryant
and Kate (Jackson) Bryant. She
married Norris Johnson in the
early 1900s. To this union five
children was born. William, Abbie
Jones, Addie Mae, Rose Jeannette
Theodore. She joined the Spiritual
Chorus, the Deaconess Board, and
served as the President of both
until her health failed. She also
served as the mother of the church.
The church named a college
scholarship after her. Mamie died
June 17, 2000.

MARRY MAGALENE CHOATES.
Mary M. Choates was born November 4,
1919 to the late Beanie Pierce.
Mary married the late Major Scott.
From this union was born a son,
Wilbert Scott. Later in life she
married Edward Choates, who preceded
her in death. She leaves to cherish
her memory one daughter–in-law
Barbara Scott, three grandsons
Michael Scott, Renard Scott and
Anthony Scott. Marry died December
12, 2002.
