Oak Grove. Mar 2, 1907.—At St. Peter's Church, yesterday. Miss Frances Wirt Washington, of Westmoreland, was married to Calvin Bayne Spillman. Mrs. Philippe Hungerford, sister of the bride, acted as matron of honor. The ushers were Watt Mayo, George Mason, Locke Griffith, and Augustine Latane. The bridesmaids were Misses Grace Greenlaw, Isabel Washington, and Irdine and Glenn Spillman. Rev. S. S. Ware, of Port Royal, performed the ceremony, after which the bridal party left for Colonial Beach, where they will reside. The bride is a granddaughter of the late Dr. William Wirt, of Wirtland. Mr. Spillman is engaged in business at Colonial Beach.

Littlefield - Gouldman.  Mr. Mortimer Littlefield, of King George, Va., formerly of New Hampshire, and Mrs. Bessie G. Gouldman were married at the home of the bride at Wilkinson’s wharf,  Westmoreland county, by Rev. R. R. Phelps, of the Episcopal Church on Thursday evening.  The bride wore a gown of grey charmeuse.  Mr. C. B. Spelman of Colonial Beach was best man and Mrs. C. Walker – Arnest.  A wedding of much interest to Virginians as well as to the people of this city took place Thursday morning, when Miss Lucy Beale Arnest, of Hague, Va., was married to Mr. George Walker of Oldhams.  Date: 1913-08-03; Baltimore Sun


Fredericksburg. Va., March-23, 1914.—Thomas Hall and Miss Bertha Jett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Jett, of Westmoreland county, were united In marriage at Colonial Beach, the Rev. J. H. Newbill performing the ceremony.


King George, June 6, 1914.—Miss Elizabeth Rust, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W. R. Rust, of Westmoreland, Va., and the Rev. Stephen Elliott Prentiss were married yesterday at St. Mary's Church, Colonial Beach, the ceremony being performed by the Rev. George McL. Brydon. Rev. Dr. Prentiss is rector of St. Mary's.
