Edgar J. Hinston, 36
years of age; 5 feet; 10½ inches high; gray eyes; light brown hair; light complexion; was
born in Ireland; is decent in appearance; has a youthful voice.
G. P. Dungan, 29 years
of age; hazel eyes; dark hair; 5 feet; 7½ inches high; enlisted in Westmoreland County, Va.,
by Capt. Sanford.
L. P. Newman, aged 21
years; blue eyes; light hair; dark complexion; 5 feet; 7 inches high; enlisted in Richmond
County, Va., by Lieut. Harwood.
J. H. Bryant, aged 26
years; gray eyes; light hair; dark complexion; 5 feet; 5½ inches high; enlisted in
Westmoreland County, Va., by Capt. Sanford.
R. W. Kelley, aged 18
years; hazel eyes; dark hair; dark complexion; 5 feet; 4½ inches high; enlisted in
Westmoreland County, Va., by Capt. Sanford.
A. S. King, aged 18
years, gray eyes; dark hair; dark complexion; 5 feet; 6½ inches high; enlisted in
Westmoreland County, Va., by Capt. Sanford.
Samuel French, aged 21
years; gray eyes; dark hair; dark complexion; 5 feet; 6½ inches high; enlisted in
Westmoreland County, Va., by Capt Sanford.
The above six men were
conscripts, and deserted from my camp, at Varina, Nov'r 13, 1862.
Fred'k Schmieder,
(conscript's substitute,) enlisted at Richmond City, Va., by Lieut. Colonel J. C. Shields,
aged about 35 years; hazel eyes; dark hair; dark complexion; 5 feet; 9½ inches high; born in
Germany; deserted from camp at Chaffin's farm, Nov'r 23, 1862.
A reward of $30 will
be paid for the apprehension of each, if placed in jail, so that I get them.
