James Luttrell born Feb. 12, 1755 in Westmoreland County, Va., died 1846 in
Knox County, Tennessee, married
Elizabeth Witt daughter of Abner Witt.
Minute Man. Enlisted 1780 served till
March, 1781 under Captains James Dillard
and Charles Christian, Colonels Peter
Rose and Charles Lynch. Children:
William, Nancy, James Churchill, Martha,
Lewis, Abner, Elizabeth, Sarah, Rhoda,
and Robert. Pension Bureau and Family

Abstract of the will of Thomas Landrum of Westmoreland Co. To my
wife, Margaret Stoake Landrum and our
children; to Dr. Collins; I appoint Dr.
Christopher J. Collins. Extr. and my
wife Margaret Stoake Landrum, Extrx.

Cridlen. The will was proved,
Westmoreland Co. Court. 22 Jul., 1811.

Henrico Circuit Superior Court, Chancery, May 8th, 1834. Ordered
certified that Dr. Thomas Landrum of
Westmoreland Co. died leaving six
children: Thomas W.; Elizabeth,
(married Collins, and now a widow);
Lucy E.; Harriet; John B.; and Margaret
Landrum, who are sole heirs at law. Copy

Testimony of Charles Higdon: I certify that Dr. Thomas Landrum
was the son of Parson Landrum. He was of
Westmoreland county and served in the
Va. state navy as Surgeon's Mate on
board the vessel Tempest of which Dr.
McNichol was Surgeon. After the war he
married and lived and died in this
county. We were neighbors, and were
brought up together, near the place
Leedstown. He died about the year 1811,
leaving a wife and several children
namely: Thomas Landrum of the Army (he
names the same as given above). His
widow is since dead. He was also
attached to the ship Tartar in the year
1780, at which time we were stationed in
Hampton Roads. Signed, 14th June, 1834.
