Anthony A. Harrison was born March 18,
1763, in Westmoreland county, Virginia. He
enlisted in Greenville county, Virginia,
February, 1781, serving five months under Capt.
John Lucas, re-enlisted for six weeks under
Capt. Benjamin Newson; he again enlisted in his
brother's company, Capt. Joseph Harrison, Col.
Alexander Dick. He was in the battle oŁ
Petersburg; he applied for a pension while
living in Greenfield township, Madison county.
He died in 1842, and is buried in Madison
county. He was pensioned. |

William Harwar Parker, born 1752 at "Rock
Spring", was the son of judge Richard Parker and his wife Mary
Beale. Served in the revolutionary war; was an Officer in the
Virginia State Navy, 1776 - 1780; commanded the Tempest.

states that he was (1760) attached to the 1st. Va. Regt. William
Richards lived in Westmoreland Co.

John Mazaret a German who was a Major [State
Art. D] in Westmoreland Co., Va., between July 5, 1793 and July 29,
1794. Lived in Leedstown and at his death he left no children.
His will dated July 5, 1793, and proved in Court July 29, 1794,
gives his property to his wife, and appoints her and William Paine,
exrs. The will is witnessed by William Tupman, William Paine, Jesse
Jett and John Dickie. In 1836 William Paine, age 81, was residing
near Leedstown, Westmoreland Co., Va., and William S. Jett, nearly
70 years old, was a Justice of the Peace in the county. Feb. 27,
1837, letters of admn. were granted to Robert Hill, who appointed
John Roane his atty. Oct. 4, 1845, Henry Northup was appointed admr.
as the soldier, his widow and Robert Hill, the former admr. were
then dead. |

Revolutionary War soldier, b. Mar. 1754 Westmoreland
County, died in Scott County, Kentucky. Married in 1781 at
Orange County, Virginia to Ruth Burt. |

William McClanahan was
born in Westmoreland County, July 25, 1762.
He enlisted in the Colonial Army in 1778 at
the age of sixteen years in the 3rd
Virginia Regiment, under Colonel Buford. He
received thirteen wounds in battle and two
marks upon his body for the rest of his long
life bore testimony to his valiant service;
one a silver plate in his scalp placed there
because of a severe wound in the head, and
the other the imprint of a horse's hoof on
his back as he lay seriously wounded and
unconscious on the battlefield. He was
taken prisoner at Hanging Rock, S. C. A
second enlistment under Captain Weaver was
from February until May 1781.

ff.15-18. The
claim of Thomas Blane, John Ballantine,
Hugh Hamilton & Patrick Blane, partners,
dated 1 May 1786. Their previous memorial
had been
rejected as two of the partners had been in Britain
and in
a position to submit the claim in the allotted time.
This
memorial states why the claim had not been sent in
earlier, and the movements of the various partners. Noted
as
rejected again. No schedule of losses enclosed, but an
affidavit of Thomas Blane, merchant, late of the County
of Westmoreland, Virginia. (5
