plantation at Southery Ferry, near Leedstown.
William Robinson
Owned the ferry
just below Leedstown which plied from his farm
to Essex County across the Rappahannock River.
A vestryman at Bray's Church, and a member of
the Committee of Safety, 1774-75.
Listed as a 1st
Lt., in Capt. Rochester's Company of the County
Militia, 1777. Was also listed as a Slave
Owner in 1782. |
