Originally called Mount Holly House, the circa
1876 home now known as Mount Holly, served as a
hotel along one of the many stops for passengers
traveling by steamboat in those long-ago days
when Nomini Creek was lined with boatyards,
oyster houses, canneries and commercial
landings.
The
home was renovated in 2002, but suffered damage
when Hurricane Isabel came ripping though the
Northern Neck.
