Barbara
A. Wilcox
Barbara Ann Wilcox, 66, of Lorton passed away Monday, July 2,
2007, at her home.
Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member
of Choice Baptist Church in Fredericksburg.
She is survived by her husband, R. D. Wilcox; a daughter, Mona
Snyder; sons, Wesley and Tim Wilcox; a brother, Marion Barnes;
sisters, Frances Dotson, Linda Evans and Kaye Overcash; and
grandchildren, Chris, James, Sarah, Timmy, Lauren, Ryan,
Brittany, Tyler, Jon and Connor.
Family & friends may visit Miller Funeral Home, Woodbridge, on
Friday, July 6, from 6 to 9 p.m.
A funeral will be held Saturday, July 7th at the
funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at 3 p.m. in
Currioman Baptist Church cemetery in Montross. |

Leonard S. Skeens
Leonard S. "Lenny" Skeens, 72, of Westmoreland County died
Thursday, June 28, 2007, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He owned and operated Lenny's Restaurant in Colonial Beach for
more than 30 years.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge 1267, Colonial Beach;
Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 4315, Colonial Beach; and an
avid patron of the Riverboat on the Potomac.
He loved to fish, to play pool and to bet on horse racing.
Lenny is survived by his wife of 23 years, Shelby E. Skeens; six
daughters, Teresa Duke of Westmoreland, Patricia Carlin of
Spotsylvania County, Regina Stephens of Georgia, Kimberely
Davenport of Tennessee, Brandy Robinson of Montross and Crystal
Elliott of Quantico; one son, L.G. Skeens of Honaker; two
sisters, Ellen Parks of Front Royal and Norma Harris of
Sterling; one brother, Terry Skeens of Richmond; 15
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Mable and Vivian
Breeding; and two brothers, Donald Skeens and Nick Skeens.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. at Nash and Slaw
Funeral Home, Colonial Beach, on Sunday, July 1, with the Rev.
Ron Okrasinski officiating.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of
contributions to the Colonial Beach Volunteer Fire Department,
Box 212, Colonial Beach, Va. 22443. |

WilkersonCatherine
Gouldman "Cat" Wilkerson, 83, of Colonial Beach died Tuesday,
March 27, 2007, at Farnham Manor in Farnham.
Born in Foneswood Aug. 24, 1923,
she was the co-founder of Wilkerson's Seafood Restaurant and a
member of Colonial Beach Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late
David and Fannie Gouldman, and was the widow of Walter Stephen
Wilkerson.
Survivors include a son, James
Walter Wilkerson and his wife, Alice Reynolds Wilkerson; a
grandson, James Reynolds Wilkerson and his wife, Jessica Lynn
Wilkerson; and a granddaughter, Kristen Louise Wilkerson, all of
Colonial Beach; one sister, Susie Fields McKiever of Farnham;
one sister-in-law, Ellen Wilkerson Worrells of Colonial Beach;
and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 11
a.m. Friday, March 30, at Colonial Beach Baptist Church, with
the Rev. Johnny R. Almond officiating. Burial will follow in
Historyland Memorial Park, King George.
The family will receive friends
from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Nash & Slaw Funeral
Home, Colonial Beach.

Pauline E. Delano Pauline Efford Delano of Oldhams in
Westmoreland County died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003.
She was born at Farnham in Richmond County
Dec. 1, 1911, the only daughter of John Samuel and Agnes Maria
Harrison Efford. She married Francis Gawen Delano of Oldhams on
June 2,1934, at her home at Farnham.
A short time later, they moved to her
husband's birthplace, Ingledew, and she lived there for almost
70 years.
Mrs. Delano was a 1928 graduate of Farnham
High School and received her bachelor of science degree in 1932
from the State Teachers College, Harrisonburg, now James Madison
University, where she was president of the YWCA and voted "Most
Dramatic" her senior year. After graduation, she returned to the
Northern Neck and began her teaching career. She had a love for
teaching and for those she taught, always challenging her pupils
to be their best.
For many years, she taught Latin and English
at Richmond County High School and shared her knowledge and joy
of learning with her students. Her friendly, generous spirit and
her story- telling endeared her to family, friends and students.
She was reared in Farnham Baptist Church and
was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church for more than
50 years. Mrs. Delano was an active church and community leader
in women's groups, children's groups, and civic organizations.
She, like her late husband, lived, loved, and labored for the
church, the community, and the land she called home.
She is survived by her children: Frank Pelham
Delano II and his wife, Patricia Joyce Hein, of Warsaw, Sara
Delano Kelly of Arlington and Nancy Delano Moore and her
husband, Hullihen Williams Moore, of Richmond. Known and loved
as "Nannar," she is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, Sara
and Frank Moore, Emily, Francis Farrell and Polly Kelly,
Meriwether Delano Gilmore, and Sophia, Priscilla, Nathaniel and
Naomi Delano. She has five great-grandchildren. In addition, her
brother, John Stafford Efford and his wife, Elizabeth, of
Richmond, also survive her. She was predeceased by her parents,
her two brothers, Lawrence and Theodoric, and her husband of
more than fifty years.
The family will be at home, Ingledew, 4543
Oldhams Road, from 4 to 9 p.m. tonight to receive friends.
A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday,
Jan. 24, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Oldhams.

Rodney Niedomanski
Funeral services for Queen Anne's County Commissioner Rodney O.
"Nemo" Niedomanski, 69, of Grasonville, will be held at 11 a.m.
Thursday at Kent Island United Methodist Church, 2739 Cox Neck
Road, Chester.
Mr. Niedomanski died of heart failure July 2 at his home.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and
tomorrow at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 408 S.
Liberty St., Centreville. Burial will be on Saturday in Ebenezer
United Methodist Church Cemetery in Oldhams, Va. In lieu of
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grasonville
Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 626, Grasonville, MD 21638;
Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department Capital Campaign, P.O. Box

Blanche B. KingsburyAUGUSTA, Ga. - Died
peacefully on Wednesday, May 18, 2005, after a short illness,
Mrs. Blanche Barker Kingsbury, beloved wife of the late
Honorable T. B. Kingsbury, III and most dearly loved mother of T.
B. Kingsbury, IV of Augusta. Mrs. Kingsbury was born in Crumpler,
N.C. on January 2, 1919, was graduated from Healing Springs High
School, and received her R.N. degree from Somerset Nursing
School in Somerville, N.J. She began married life in 1940, in
Heathsville, Va., then lived in Franklin, Va. for 50 years where
she was a nurse, homemaker, teacher, and most of all, a devoted
wife and mother. Following her husband's death in 1989, she
lived in Blowing Rock, N.C., and then in Augusta for the last
six years. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in
Franklin, Va. Survivors include her son, T. B. Kingsbury, IV and
his wife, Patricia D. Kingsbury, of Augusta; three sisters, Mrs.
Ruth Bennett of Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. Carolyn Peery of Roanoke,
Va., and Mrs. Frances Concannon of Richmond, Va.; and numerous
nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at a later
date at Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in Oldhams, Va.
